On Sunday beginning at noon, we will be hosting a tailgate at the 930 Poydras building, where will eventually be developing a project. This very sleek and modern new residence building that offers a 10th floor lobby overlooking Poydras and a pool deck, both with breathtaking views. We would like to invite you all to join us on the 10th floor as we’ll be producing an elegant BBQ with some of Louisiana’s best beers available, wine, and catering by the Besh Steakhouse. This will be the first time this building is going to be previewed and we’d love you guys to join us in the festivities. We’ll wind it up at 4:00 to be in the Dome an hour before kickoff as per Coach’s request. Let me know if you have any questions.
So will we be prohibited from wearing certain brands of clothing to this fine establishment as well? I confess. I’ve worn an Ed Hardy t-shirt or two during my lifetime, like many of the people who go to Republic and pay your bills, but I find the snobby attitude at Republic these days based on clothing to be about as weak as the drinks there. People that happen to wear Ed Hardy sometimes have functional brains and money to spend as well. They are not all from the “Jersey Shore”. I work in law, for example, and have spent my last dollar at Republic. Even for those people I know who don’t like Ed Hardy, they also feel like this sort of policy is insulting and pretentious. For those who do not know what I’m talking about, Republic has started specifically banning people who wear Ed Hardy and those types of shirts from coming in.
